SEO done right.
Use Keupera to find keywords, write content and get backlinks — autonomously.
HTTPS has been a ranking signal since 2014 and a browser requirement since well before now. An expired or misconfigured certificate does not just cost you a small ranking factor — it puts a full-page warning between your site and every visitor.
What to verify
That the certificate is valid, not expired, issued for the exact hostname in use, and served with a complete chain. Missing intermediate certificates are the most common failure: the site works in browsers that cached the chain and fails in ones that did not.
Check that http:// redirects to https:// with a 301, and that the www and non-www variants both resolve to your canonical host.
Mixed content
A page served over HTTPS that loads an image, script or stylesheet over HTTP is flagged as insecure and may have those resources blocked outright. After migrating to HTTPS, audit for hard-coded http:// URLs in templates, CSS and old content.
Set a calendar reminder ahead of expiry. Most certificate outages are renewal failures, not attacks.
